Design and Evaluation of Distributed Role Allocation
Algorithms in Open Environments. The jar file contains basic
prey/predator code using distributed constraint optimization for
role allocation as well as a paper describing such. The paper
abstract follows.
Role allocation has emerged as one of the keyissues in
teamwork involving communication. While direct point-to-point
communication is expensive and uncertain, access to neighbors
is reliable and efficient in scale-free networks such as
those found in open environments and social networks. This
suggests decentralized approaches to role allocation based on
communication between neighbors. This paper adapts and
evaluates some of the basic types of algorithms in
distributed role allocation in open environments using a
novel coordination measure in the prey/predator domain.

Axelrod's dissemination of culture model in Repast J.
This Repast J model implements the modelling of the dissemination of
culture, as developed by Robert Axelrod. It covers the simple model
described in Axelrod (Journal of Conflict Resolution, 1997), plus several
model extensions.
